Dairy brokers · Weert, the Netherlands

We trade the European dairy market. Every week we write down what we saw.

Butter, cheese, powder and liquids — brokered daily, analysed weekly. Every price level we publish comes from a bid or an offer we actually worked.

Dairy Carry Has a Shelf Life

Last week was bearish across the board — every product we broker leaned the wrong way. Powders lost more momentum, cheese slipped well below €3,000 for some products, and butter continues to impress with just how much keeps showing up. Supply, supply, supply.

Summer Shopping or Summer Sale?

Last week was again a bit of a bearish week for the entire dairy industry. With cream prices under pressure and milk intake still strong, we keep seeing a market that has more supply than demand. Butter prices took another step lower, cheese prices cracked, and the powder market gave back a bit of its gains again.

The Agro Gravity Effect

The Agro Gravity Effect

Last week was a strange week from our side. With relatively low activity and a lot of customers on the move due to Eucolait, activity came as quickly as it went away again. Tuesday's GDT put the market on hold, but when the results came out, a bit of downward trading occurred. The same went for Eucolait.

Every month, the volume-weighted average of the trades we executed — not indications, not a survey. The shaded band is the monthly high to low, and the bars along the bottom are the volume behind each point.

How we work

A broker is only as good as what they know

  1. 01

    Price discovery, not price opinion

We publish the levels we are actually working — with volume, origin and incoterms attached. If we could not place it, we say so. A number without a trade behind it is a guess, and the market has enough of those.

  2. 02

    A specialist on every commodity

Butter, cheese and powder each get their own broker, not a generalist with a price list. You always know whose phone to ring, and they know your book before you explain it.

  3. 03

    The market, in writing

Every week, a full read on all three commodities: what traded, where the spread sits, and what we would do about it. Long form, because the market is not a headline.

What we are for

A fair price for everyone in the chain

Get Fair Dairy exists because the value in dairy leaks out between the farm and the shelf. Three things we push on, every deal.

  • A balanced price

Less cost in the chain means more stays with the farmers, the processors and the people handling the product.

  • An efficient route to destination

Fewer unnecessary product movements. Better routing is cheaper and it is a smaller footprint.

  • Time back in your agenda

A broker you trust is a market you no longer have to watch minute by minute.
